Meshkat Community is a project aimed at creating digital content to Address harmful narratives in Jordan, which started September 2020, and ended in June 2022. This evaluation specifically assessed the operational performance of the project in terms of the initially planned activities that aimed to decrease community vulnerability to harmful messages and increase place-based attachments and community cohesion.
Combining qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection to access information and adequately respond to the evaluation objectives, the evaluation team developed and conducted interviews and focus group discussions with target audience mentioned above to include a total of 96 respondents (20 artists, 63 participants, 5 partners, and 8 volunteers) comprising (artists, partners, volunteers, and direct project participants). Roughly 70% of these respondents were drawn from beneficiaries of some of the filming exercises staged. With regards to the online content produced under the project, the dataset contained 522 social media posts, 2,192,336 reach, 31,490 likes and reactions, 2,419 comments, and 1,231 shares based on Facebook and Instagram platforms.
